The Electoral Committee Chairman Amb. Oliver Iwok had fixed 12:00noon-1:00pm for accreditation of voters but due to environmental sanitation that took place earlier in the day accreditation commenced late.
The Electoral Committee Chairman now extended the time for accreditation to 1:30pm.At exactly 1:30pm the Electoral Committee Chairman announced the close of accredited voters to be 37 out of 61 eligible voters.
Just after the announcement of close of accreditation three more voters including one aspirant arrived the venue of the election these led to a heated debate at the end the Electoral Committee Chairman call for motion from the floor of the House if accreditation should be extended by 10minutes to accommodate the new voters that just arrived.
The motion was moved and seconded but before votes could be counted for or against the extention of time for accreditation one of the contestants Amb Ukeme Anwan threatened to step down if the time for accreditation was extended in the light of the above the whole house conceded that time for accreditation should not be extended, that voting should start.
Before voting started one of the Speakership aspirants Amb. Akan James step down and urge his supporters to vote for Amb. Omodot Umoh.
Voting then commenced and the following aspirants emerged victorious

Amb. Utomobong Monday Etokudo - Deputy Speaker Elect
Amb. Ikobong Michael - House Leader
Amb. Etim David - Chairman House Committee Finance
Amb. John John Mfon - Chairman House committee Contact and Mobilization
While for the office of the Chief Whip since the sole aspirant was absent the Electoral Committee Chairman declared that a bye election would be done to fill the office of Chief Whip.
After the declaration of the elected Principal Officers by the Electoral Committee Chairman Amb Oliver Iwok, he presented them to the house and the South South coordinator Amb. Eseme Emmanuel PhiIip, encouraged all the elected officers to be ready to make selfless sacrifices in the discharge of the duties and to work in achieving the core goals of NYAN which is being an independent Voice advocating for the rights, welfare and development of the youths of Akwa Ibom State in particular and the Nation in general. That they must work together with every member of the Assembly and they should synergise with other youth groups to develop policies and programmes that will affect the life of the youths positively.
On his part the State NYAN Speaker Elect Amb Omodot Umoh on behalf of the elected officers thanked God for their victory at the polls and pledged to carry every one along in his all inclusive leadership, especially those who contested the election with them. That the task ahead is enormous and NYAN Akwa Ibom State Chapter to occupy the pride of place in the comity of NYAN chapters in the federation he needs the support and cooperation of everyone...
