The visit which was led by the president, Rtr. Jerry Williams in company with other members of the executive and a few members of the association was held in the office of the AG at Idongesit Nkagha secretariat complex.
The president in his speech thanked the AG for granting the delegation his audience, despite in the midst of his very busy schedule and commitments.
He further congratulated the AG on his meritorious appointment while conveying the heartfelt felicitations of the entire leadership and Members of the association.
He however, expressed satisfaction in AKWA IBOM state government led by His Excellency, Deac. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel whom is working round the clock to restructure the industrialisation sphere of the state and also for deeming it fit to saddle the AG with such a high magnitude responsibility which is as a result of his longstanding professional efficacy and exceptional leadership prowess.
He ended by making a plea, requesting the partnership and continuous support of the AG toward "Students Volunteerism movement" which according to him is "a selfless service oriented campaign coined by the chapter, aimed at awakening self consciousness in youths and students of ONNA and beyond while reminding us of our fundamental social responsibility towards community development with total altruism, imbibe with the DAKADA philosophy of His Excellency the Governor".
The high point of the visit was a presentation of an award of patronship to the AG.
Consequently, the AG in his respond applauded the team for their love and commitments toward humanity, adding that the good Lord shall continue to bless the students of ONNA for their good deeds, he commended the delegation for finding him worthy and honoring him with the award of patronship, which he considered "thoughtful".
He however pledged his support in the implementation and sustainability of the proposed 5 days career awareness tour in the nine (9) public secondary schools in the Local Government Area with distribution of free educational materials in support of free and compulsory education in the state.
Also in the delegation was, victor Essien,director of Logistics, Joseph Ekpo, Director of information2, Emelda Usoro, Treasurer, Anietie Nkanang, Auditor general, Blessing Udonsek, Hanniel Ufford, Atiata Oscar and Eunice Ufford.
